Lacem restaurant is situated in Alsancak heading up towards the Sunny Lane School.
This is another of the ‘new breed’ restaurants that have opened up to accommodate the growing tourist trade. It has a large and airy feel to it and also boasts a small botanical garden inside. Also another talking point is the specially commissioned painting of Kyrenia harbor which hangs in pride of place in the restaurant.
The food severed covers a broad spectrum of tastes. Starters range from soup to prawn cocktail. Main courses range from traditional meze to Mexican fajitas. A three course Sunday lunch is served with a choice of chicken soup or sigora borek, roast chicken or roast beef with mashed potatoes, roast potatoes and vegetables then followed by homemade apple pie with custard all for 20 TL (approx. £8.00).
The owner is very friendly and always comes to have a chat with you while you enjoy your food asking if he can get you anything else, at the end of your meal you are offered complementary coffee or brandy.
