Water Activities in North Cyprus

With the long hot summers, beautiful beaches and crystal clear sea Northern Cyprus is the ideal location for water sports enthusiasts.

Many of the  main hotel beaches have water sports available which range from jet skiing to parasailing.

There are many qualified dive schools were you  can take a beginners course or if you are an experienced diver  you can arrange to go on a deep sea dive giving you the chance to see turtles  that nest along the coast during the summer months  and other marine animals.

Boat trips are another popular day out, setting sail from Kyrenia harbour in the morning and cruising along the coast line making stops for the opportunity of  a refreshing swim. At lunch time an open buffet  is severed including fresh fish and local meze. Late in the afternoon you leisurely cruise back to the harbour.

A self confessed dilettante, with a varied working career, it was not until she returned in 1997 and went into tourism that she was able to put to good use her knowledge of history, ancient and modern, acquired long ago at school. She is a co-author of the Landmark Visitors Guide to North Cyprus, and continues to promote this beautiful country as far afield as possible.
